Confidentiality

Generally speaking, the information provided by and to the client during therapy sessions is legally confidential and cannot be released without the client’s consent. Examples of exceptions to confidentiality include:

  • If the client presents a danger to him/herself or to someone else
  • If there is an indication of abuse or neglect of a child, dependent adult or elderly person
  • If the records are subpoenaed in Court proceedings

If you would like Margit to have contact with someone (collaborating clinician, doctor, family member), she can do so with your signed consent to release information.
